 The Principal Gary KrausePresident and Founder Gary Krause began his utility career with PG&E in 1979 where he advanced rapidly, accepting positions in both the Sacramento & San Joaquin Regions. After holding positions as a Service Planning Supervisor, Marketing Manager, Industrial Power Engineer, Farm Power Advisor and New Business Representative, he opened G. A. Krause & Associates (now dba Capitol Utility Specialists, Inc.) in 1993, providing dry utility services to home builders, land developers and shopping center developers. Gary brings a unique and in depth knowledge of the dry utility industry to each client and project with particular expertise in electric, natural gas, telephone and cable television planning, procedures, design and construction practices. He has managed many large and complex dry utility projects in his 32 years in the industry – master planned communities, residential and commercial subdivisions, corporate centers, industrial parks, multifamily developments, hotels and retail projects.
